My Superhero...

So we celebrated Christian turning 5 by inviting over the gang to have a Superhero Party! It was a blast! We played pin the spiderman on the bad guy (or something like that)--they had to earn their capes and masks, had an obsticle course that the boys had to go through to save the day, decorated their super hero masks and of course cake and ice-cream. Bubba loved all the attention and loved having his friends over. Happy 5th Bubba!

Two Little Monkey's....

Could the twinners be any cuter? I had to write a post about how we tell these monkey's apart. Most people can't...except for mama and sometimes daddy. If one is in the color green it's Ollie- Oliver for Green OLIVES and Nico is usually in Blue. We also still paint Nico's big toe blue. I'm not sure what we'll do when the summer's over and I have to put socks and shoes on them. I can't believe that they are almost a year!! How time's fly's when your busy out of your mind with little one's!! Oh but how they make me smile. They are both the best babies ever!! I can honestly say that they are good natured, calm, and sweet little monkey's. I think they just had to come this way! The Lord knew that I could handle everything if they were this way. I love these boys to pieces!! Right now they are learning sign language (mostly the sign for "more"), patty cake, saying ,"mama". Ollie loves to smack and click his tongue when he wants to eat and Nico wildly waves his hands around...like" bring on the food baaaybe!" They play sooo good together! Sometimes I will find them wrestling each other or sitting on each other...it's hilarious! They are both soo tough, they climb over each other, knock each other down and steal each other's toys. But it doesn't seem to phase them at all---they are just so used to each other. They other day they just woke up and were both still in the snugly mood. So I rocked them both on my lap and they nuzzled into my chest--it was a moment in time I wanted to freeze, it doesn't get much better then DOUBLE the loves at the same time! Everyday I feel so blessed to have such beautiful, sweet children. My load is heavy and yet sometimes it doesn't feel that way at all. Nothing is more precious then the children you love.

Surfing on Navajo Lake

Last week we went to Durango for our family reunion. We decided to head down a few days early so we could hit the lake with Nate and Sharon. It was a blast!! We always enjoy their company!! Brett and Christian totally hit it off. The surfing was awesome. Ceciley got up for her first time!! She started off with Trent's help and then she did it by herself with Trent on the back of the boat helping her. Once she figured it out she didn't want to go in!! We all took turns surfing, swimming and then had a picnic lunch. We left the twins with Granny, Papa and Aunt Becky. It felt so good to spend a little QT with the older three! Briton even took a nap on the boat!! It felt FANTASTIC to soak up the rays and unwind after a long day of traveling!!

Here we go again...I'm going to attempt to write more faithfully on this blog. Life is crazy busy like never before. The twins are now 10 months and still as cute and chubby as ever. Nico and Ollie are both crawling EVERYWHERE and have some pretty cute chompers! We still paint Nico's big toe blue so everyone know's who's who. Everyone still gets them mixed up--Trent is doing better---luckily their sweet Mama knows who's who and can keep everybody straight!! Summer is cruising by way too fast for my liking. Bubba just turned 5 years old and had a fun Super Hero Party. We just got back from Durango for a family reunion. Ceciley has been the BEST help ever since school's been out--I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to go back! Trent has been busy with work, and building/fixing up our new cabin. Most days my head is barely above water...however things are getting easier (um well sort of-ha not really...who am I kidding?). I love love love my kiddlets to death. They are all so different and I'm constantly learning from them. My theme lately has been, "Come What May and Love It." Have you read that talk? Oh it's a good one! And ohh boy life has been wonderful but of course challenging!!! If you don't bend you break right?- My dad's famous quote has really been with me lately!!

I can't believe how old our Boo is. She is such a great helper, friend and sweet daughter! This year we she wanted to have friends over for a late-night and BBQ so that's what we did. It was a fun party and all the giggly girls had fun! The next night we got together with the whole fam and went to Lion King and had a yummy dinner!! Turning eight is a biggy so we celebrated BIG!! Ceciley absolutely loves hanging out with her cousins--so this year was a hit!

Cabin Time...

Cabin time this year was the perfect getaway! The cousins played, played and played!! "Cowboys and Indians", 4-wheeln', campfire with Savannah and Nick on their guitars with the rest of singing away, some serious marshmellow roasting, movies, hot tubbn', BBQ's, good chat time, poker, getting stuck in a serious rain storm while out on the side by side and 4 wheeler's, and memories that won't be forgotten. We are so blessed to have such great fam!! We love you all soo much!!

Dance Competitions...

April was a crazy month for dance, fun though!! We had 3 dance competitons for Ceciley. Her team danced jazz and ballet. They did so good!! I was soo proud of her. The funnest competition had to be Parawan's. Mom, Cec and I headed down to St. George to make a girl's trip out of the weekend since Saturday was the comp. It was a blast!!! We enjoyed some pedicures/manicures, movies, serious all you can eat crab in Mesquite, swimming and of course shopping!! Ceciley's team placed 1st in three of their dances too!! Way to shake it Boo!!

Can you believe it? We're having twins---this is seriously crazy!!! TWIN BOYS to boot!!! This is no joke!!! We are really excited, shocked and are
grateful to have two more bundles of joy, energy and life join our family. Any advice?? I have no idea what to even think?!! It'll be a party thats for sure!!! Trent's getting his wish for a BIG family after all!!!

Happy Easter 2010

This is year we had Easter Eggs Hunts, and parties all week long it seemed--they were all fun!! It was nice to settle down and have conferance weekend to enjoy with each other and focus on our Savior. Here are some photos from the Nana's and Bompa's Hunt and Uncle Ren and Lucy's Hunt. I have to say it was OUR year for finding the golden eggs. Bubba found it at the farm and Cec found it at Nana's!! We even had the Easter Bunny show up at Nana and Bompa's for a surprise visit!! What a fun weekend!!!

New York...

So in February Trent and I headed off to New York. We were both so excited to go...since both of us had never been. We were lucky enough to stay with our friends, Kevin and Nicole and have them as our own personal tour guides.

Trent BIZN' behind a taxi....love it!!

Some of the highlights were of course seeing every inch of New York...I've never walked so much in one day in my life! Good thing though because we did some serious delicious eating out---my favorite was our Argintine date and sushi before Chicago! We saw Chicago and The Miracle Worker on Broadway---both amazing! The shopping was fantastic--I loved that Trent was so patient and let me find perfect handbags to take home. We tromped through snow...yes snow in Central Park. Freak snowstorm for the first two days we were there. Talk about serious tourists...this did not slow us down!! We ventured out walking 5th Ave., Central Park, and did some serious shopping!! It was a blast!! There was the point were my feet went numb and I couldn't be tough anymore. Our shoe's and boots were soaked. We even bought a little time and lined them with plastic bags!! I'm not even kidding--at that point we were desperate. Trent being the sweetheart he is found us the closest boot store and bought me some new Uggs and some new great shoe's for him. It was crazy, crazy but fun!! We saw lots of amazing art, treasures and whatnots at various muesums. We shopped China Town--that was nuts! We reflected at Ground Zero and saw the memorial site--completely amazing. We were pro's at riding the subways by the end or our trip!! It was tons of fun. A trip definately NOT for kids. Good thing our kids have the best Nana and Granny in town!!

It's our last night in Mexico!!! What an amazing trip!! We were spoiled by some serious fun, much needed relaxation and fabulous company!! This trip made for some great memories and stories we'll never forget!! We saw lots of monkey's but we're ready to see our 3 monkey's back home!!!

Here's our quant, romantic cabana. Loved the porch and hammock!! We had pastry's and hot chocolate brought and left here around 7:00 a.m every morning.--this was before the yummy breakfast!!!

The first night we arrived it took some getting used to!! The animal sounds that is! Monkey's howlering, tropical birds, crickets....you name it!!

Off to church in Chetumal. So ya...it was all in Spanish and only Trent can understand BUT the spirit feels the same. They were soo happy to see us---I guess they never have visitors.

O.K. so really this entire trip has been amazing but today I must say was one of my favorites!! So we went to another Lagoon called Bacalar. They call it the Lagoon of Seven colors because of the different shades of Jade and Blue. So we kayaked through the crystaline waters and into the mangroves. We swam, laughed like I've never laughed in my life (it's SERIOUS laughs when you get a British couple, Mexican couple--one straight off of Grumpy Old Men, some Jewish folk, and a very happy drunk sister with her weekend fling, and of course us Mormons together!! Oh man we laughed so stinkn' hard. Well o.k. so we were in the mangroves and our guide told us that this was the part where we'd get out of the kiyaks if we wanted and relax....complete quite time. Well here's the story... I was cold in the water...so Trent was trying to keep me warm...holding me--the British guy tells everyone we're "napping" (you know what that means right?, the guy off Grumpy Old Men is swatting at what thinks is a bee/mosiquito while his wife is nagging him about "quite time", Trent of course makes a fart noise and the British guy has some mystery bubbles he's wondering about, our drunk happy friend is ALL GIGGLES, and we are suppose to BE COMPLETELY QUITE!!!! All the while I am completely ROLLING---everyone for that matter is rolling!!! I thought my mom was going to tip her and dads kiyak!!! Oh GOOD time's!!!

Our guide even gave in and started to laugh...laugh hard!!!

O.K. so we made our way out of the mangroves and parked out kiyaks for our Spa treatment. The mud/sand in the Lagoon is pure and has fabulous minerals in it. So we had our very own exfoliation treatment. I'll admit I was a little skeptical but afterwards our skin felt like we'd bathed in baby oil. It was great!!

Well the day got even better--I didn't think it could really. We came back to shore and we had a surprise BBQ!!! The food was DELICIOUS, open bar (hum?), and they even set up some hammocks for us to relax in. After lunch the wind favored us and we were able to take out the catamarans. This was heaven!!! I almost fell asleep I was sooo relaxed!!!

Yes...for sure my favorite day!!

Biking to Dizibanche...can you say FUN!!!

So today our adventure consisted of biking to some more ruins. The biking was fun. After biking we did some more serious hiking. Dad and mom came along today...so glad mom is completely better. Here are some photos of the day. We saw Mexico like I never thought exsisted--garden farms on the side of the road, and more beautiful flowers that just don't grow in Utah! It felt great to get out and move. So when we got to the ruins we were lucky enough to see monkeys!! So we looked up right above our heads was a family of five Spider Monkeys. They were swinging from tree to tree-it was AMAZING!! The cutest part though was the baby monkey and it's mom reaching out to help it from tree to tree. After these monkey's decided to go somewhere else we got to see another family of monkeys. These monkeys were the Howler Monkey's they were also up in the tree above our heads eating the some fruit for lunch. To see these monkeys out in the wild was a treat!!

After our excursion we headed back to the resort for some R & R time by the pool, pina-coladas and a trip to the spa. What a day!!! LOVED IT!!!

Sites in Campeche...

So we woke up ready for some more adventure!! Dad and mom stayed back at the resort for a little relaxation time. Mom woke up really dizzy and not feeling well. Luckily she had the day to recover and feel better. Did I mention how grateful I am for priesthood blessings?

So our day went something like this. We headed of to three archaeological sites: Xupuhil, Becan and Chicana. The fasinating part was that these sites are not touristy and fairly new...as far as being discovered. To have Book of Mormon history under our belts made these even more intriging.

We hiked some serious steps up the ruins, saw beautiful jungle, laughed with our new friends, swung from the vines like monkeys, took a gazillion pictures, held hands and did some more hiking, and learned about the Miyan culture.

Chakanbakan....

So our first adventure was at Chakanbakan. This Lagoon was about 40 miles from our Resort. We drove through some serious jungle and found our secluded destination. Absolutely beautiful!!! It was misty and dark but warm. We loaded our kayaks and headed off in the DARK with our head lights. We had to be really quite so we would have the best chances of seeing the any animals. So as you can imagine it was a little creepy---at least I thought, for Trent it was pure excitement. I think what creeped me out was the fact that our guide told us to watch for red eye's...those were the CROCS!!! And sure enough I saw some!!! We saw some beautiful plant life, lots of fireflys, frogs, and birds. It was fun to have Mom and Dad right behind us in the Kiyaks while we explored the Lagoon. After we made it back to shore we were in for a surprise. A YUMMY surprise!! On shore the resort had set up a dinner, bonfire and tiki lights under the moon. What a FUN night!!! So much fun!!!

Surgery....

So after Trent lost his glasses (funny story--ask him) he decided to go ahead and get Lasic Eye

Surgery. So all went well--and he did great!! I was able to watch the entire surgery-- it was interesting however I did have to sit down after the surgery was done, after feeling a little woozy---you know that feeling when everything is closing in on you--seconds away from passing out. Thank goodness I didn't!! Anyway here's my sweetie in his bug shields eating his dinner in bed--yummy Honey Lime Chicken Tacos and Choco./Banana Shake---thanks mom dinner was excellent!! Rest up Babe!!!

Just last week we were here...

5 hours outside of Cancun Mexico(20 miles from Belize) ...hard to believe!!! And it was absolutely wonderful!! Adventurous and yet relaxing too!!!

Papa and Cess strolling down Center to see the Candied windows and lights

Here's a few pics from our traditional dinner and Symphony with the Beesley's. This year we ate at the Marriott Hotel and then walked down Center to see the candied windows. This year the Symphony was probably my favorite. The Christmas music always gets me in the Spirit of things. But I absolutely loved the artists they brought in to add to the show. Nancy Hansen came and sang with her daughter. I love her voice and music--so much that we had to buy a few albums to add to our collection of Christmas music. It made me want to go home and break out my guitar---and so I did and the kids LOVED it!!

2009 in a Nutshell...

So I decided to simplify and opt out of sending Christmas cards. With all the hustle and bustle and home-made goodies I worked on...I had enough to do to keep the season sane. So now that things have slowed down a bit I feel the need to re-cap 2009.

Trent---kept busy with work--HUGE blessing this year--given the economy, found time to play---motorbike, hunt--elk, geese, and deer, snowmobile, started new business idea's/adventure's, and still serving in the Bishopric.

Ang---enjoys being a mommy of three and all the craziness it brings, figured out how to be a mom AND take "time-outs" to work-out, create, read and get some girl time in. Loving teaching music to the most adorable kids ever!

Ceciley---grew up way to fast this year...cutting all her hair off and getting glasses did it!! Started competing in ballet, jazz and tumbling. Still enjoying learning piano from Granny Bee, reads chapter books like they're going out of style, loves to play the Wii and craft with her mom.

Christian---is a momma's boy, learned to ride his mini snowmobile---loves it, graduated from nursery into Sunbeams, says the funniest things ever, is a great older and younger brother.

Briton---is full it---he constantly has a goofy grin on his face, he is always happy, learned to walk, climb and do lots of naughty things, loves toothbrushes, clementines, and tickles----so ticklish!!!

Fun outings with the fam: St. George for Spring Break and girls trip, Park City and Midway for Family Retreat, summer road trip to Seattle, Oregon Coast and California. Saw "Wicked," rode Polar Express, Nebraska (Spring Snow Goose) with the boys, Green River motorbiking, and trips to Barlows cabin at Widtsoe.

Overall a busy but great year!!!

Dance...

So last week was a little crazy. Crazy but fun. I missed my sweet hubby since he was off hunting some serious elk. So of course it is always a little hectic when I don't have his help with the kids. But we kept ourselves busy and made sure we had fun too. Cec had two dress rehearsals for dance--one for Jazz and one for Ballet. I love watching Boo--she loves to perform and has fun!! This year Cec's is on a team and competing I'm so proud of her---she's doing fantastic!

"Jesus helped me today..."

So today Christian lost his Spiderman four-wheeler. A new favorite toy he got on his day out with Nana. So Christian decided to ask for help. He plopped himself down on the kitchen floor and started to pray. As I stood by the kitchen sink washing dishes, I hurried and folded my arms but peeked..., I couldn't help it--he knelt with his forehead pressed against the kitchen floor and it was short and sweet. It was one of those moments as a mom that you just want to freeze. He had soo much faith and his prayer was soo stinkn' cute!! He was soo pleased that his prayers were answered after the two of us searched high and low and found it hidden in the bed sheets. That night as we sat around eating our dinner he told Trent and Cec that "Jesus helped me today." Cec replied, " ya I do that too Bubba and it does work!" --I couldn't help but smile and tear up as I listened to their conversation. Because really don't we all need that same faith--because prayers are heard even for the small and simple things.

The night began with Trunk or Treating...

Halloween night this year was fantastic. First of all the weather couldn't have been nicer. We started with Trunk or Treating at the church which is always fun!! I love seeing all our friends and neighbors and what they come up with. So it was hillarious...we pulled up and of course Nick and Lyndz were DECKED out---we were rolling...their Mexican Wrestler Costume's were amazing!!! We seriously laughed so hard!!

Trent was a good sport as always and went as Popeye or a Sailor of some sort---me too.

I wished we got more pics of our friends but we did manage to get one of John and Jen---loved their costume, very creative!!
So then we headed to our friends for their traditional Halloween Party and had some yummy soup, doughnuts, hot chocolate, rootbeer and great conversation. Ceciley wanted to fill her bag up some more and I couldn't resist the warm weather so off we went for some more Trick or Treating. It was kind of funny because I had to ask the kids if they knew what to do and what to say---only because Trick or Treating is almost extinct. It was fun to watch them and get soo excited to run to the next house. They did get a little spooked at a few houses--very creepy decorations! As we rounded the block Bubba's cowboy legs were giving up on him so I held him...next thing I knew he was asleep, head knodding straight up like he didn't want to give in. We made it home just in time and popped some corn and snuggled for a movie night!! Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween from Woody, Giesha Ninja, and a very angry Lion!! The kids got to preview their costume's last night for the big carnival at Cec's school. The were pretty excited to share the night with Granny and Papa while Trent and I had our date-night. The fun didn't end after the carnival...it was off to drive around town to look for spooky houses and of course a sleepover.
When we asked Christian what he wanted to be we weren't surprised...he LOVES Toy Story!! Thanks to a sweet talented Nana and Grandma Audrey for sewing up Christian an IDENTICAL shirt,vest and hat. So stinkn' cute!! We have watched both movie's a gazillion times!! Luckily I haven't gotten sick of it! Ceciley's request was not as predictable. She wanted to be a ninja--which to be honest surprised me a little. The princess stage may have already passed us by! I love how unique my Boo is!
As for Briton, well he hated his costume---as you can see in the picture he was doing everything to get his hat off!! It was team work trying to get a picture. Trent was on camera duty while I snuck in-plopped Briton on the couch and as fast as I could get his hat velcroed and move my hinny out of the view! Ahhh --oh well--he made a cute chubby Lion for about 10 seconds!!

So today Ceciley's class all dressed up as Tall Tale's. Ceciley wanted to be Johnny Apple Seed. Doesn't she make a cute boy---o.k. way too cute to even be a boy!! I looked out our back window and discovered we didn't have any leaves left on our big tree. They seasons have definately changed--and I'm learning to embrace change (it's always been a struggle for me!)--so why not get a few photos of the kids? It made for great picture taking because it was more like lets play in the leaves then a photo shoot--or so they thought!! It took Briton a few minutes to enjoy the freedom--but he soon caught on and wanted to hand me every leaf from their pile.

I love this one for a few reasons...first of all

it shows off Briton's chubby wrists--he seriously has creases and notice where Bubba's hand is--ya it's hillarious he LOVES ears. They other day he said to me..."mom don't you just love Briton's ears--they are the softest ever!"--it's a Beesley thing.

All I have to say is I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family!!! We had a blast at our last family retreat.

Highlights included: watching Dad do a somersault out of a giant family knot, Seafood buffet at the Zermatt, some serious play time for the cousins, Halloween crafts, huts that never ended, Alpine slide and roller coaster, seeing mom's face as she drove Christian on the Rollercoaster and Bubba telling her that she was a Trazy Nana, yummy Mexican lunch in Park City, golfing, massages and some divine R & R at the Zermatt Spa, Marci's delicious munchies, and the of course the best part was feeln' the love---we laughed, cried, chatted, and learned so much! It was a definate success!! Loved every minute of it!!

Egyptian Princess...

I never posted these and wanted to for a few reasons:
1). Look how much our Boo has changed!! I took these last May for her Egyptian Unit in her history class. I seriously can't believe how much she's changed in 5 months!! Cec also won "Best Costume's" for the school year. I must give credit where due... thanks mom!
2). I asked my mom if I could dig through her costume box and see what I could come up with. We found a few things but most everthing didn't fit. The next thing I knew Nana had her sewing machine out, and her bar covered in sequins, material and fancy embellishments. Aren't moms the best!! She whipped this costume up in no time!! She's creative, talented and the best help ever!!
3). And last reason...I look at these photos and don't ever want my Boo to change. Your a ham--you have such a funny personality, your a poser--you've got great confidence and your bright...you are always excited to learn!!

Our Favorite Holiday...

Happy 4th!!! Who doesn't love the 4th!!! It's got to be top on the list of our favorite's. It's tradition...parade, BBQn' and of course watching the stadium fireworks from Papa and Granny's backyard. This year was another great one!!!
Some of the highlights were: Hot Crab Dip, Rib Eye's, Grilled Shrimp, Fruit Trifle and all the fixins, rides on the old classic Honda's...Lindz even drove---watch out!!, best shaded seats in the parade--nothing like your own set of bleachers!!, a two hour nap, and home-made ice cream!!!

First of all I have to say how much we LOVE our
neighborhood-We have such awesome friends!!

The events of the night were:

the children's parade
dessert bar
glow sticks and candy shoot
and of course hundreds of fireworks for the "sidewalk of fire!"---loved it!!!

Here are the kids all ready to ride in the parade. We tried to make Popguts float and this is what we came up with!! Trent pulled the wagon with the 50.

Cec insisted on throwing Taffy as she rode in the parade. What a fun idea---Boo!!! She raided Nana's and Granny's candy drawer to fill her bag so she would have enough candy to throw!! Pretty cordinated if you ask me!!

Happy B-day to me!! O.K. so I had a great B-day!!! You ask...so what does a "30" year old do on her b-day?? Party, party on...nothing like Bombay House with fam, HOT date with hubby and Hot Lava Cake from Rooster Noodle House (such a good mix!), a new VW Routan---has to be the best gift ever...(thanks babe), breakfast in bed, getting my hair done, visiting with friends and fam, shopping for 5 hours straight with Boo and a mommy/daughter date!! Does it get any better then this...heavens no!!! Great day--thanks for the gifts, calls, and happy wishes!!!
O.K.---so as Cec and I were shopping, and I must say she is a fantastic little shopper. Anyway, we were looking for treasure's at the mall and Ceciley pulls out a dress and looks at me with a very serious smile and a tad bit of attitude and says, "um hum fit for a 30 year old"! ---oh how I love that girl---make's me chuckle all the time!!!

Last weekend was a blast!!! We went to Powell with some of our friends and fam!!! Thanks Nate and Shar---we loved hanging out, surfing,wake boarding, and just being with you!! Your boat rocks---thanks for sharing!!!

Best 5 Years of My Life...

I can't believe it's been 5 years since the day we were married!!! And by far the best 5 years ever!!! I have been blessed with the most amazing hubby ever!!! He's kind, sweet, funny, *%$#@ hot, thoughtful, strong, a fantastic daddy, and by far THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Love you babe!!! Thanks for the fun date!! Happy Anniversary!!!

We headed up to Log Haven for a very romantic, yummy dinner!!! After a little stroll through the woods, pics by the waterfall then we headed off to Thanksgiving Point for a movie and then some romancn'!! Love you babe!!

Tonight was SOOO much fun!!! The evening started out with some Tapa's at a very delish resteraunt and then off to see Wicked. First of all the company was fantastic. We have a such an amazing family---and it was soo fun to spend time together. And "Wicked" was EXCELLENT---so enjoyable. Did anyone else get lucky and make it to this amazing production??? Loved it!!

O.K. so the soccer season is over and Cec did fantastic. It was so fun to watch her. I love this picture because it shows how stinkn' excited Ceciley was to actually win her last game. She wanted so bad to just win at least one. And that never happened until tonight! She even prayed to win. I tried to explain that winning isn't everything, that if you do your best then that's all that matters, "you win some, you loose some,"--we had ALL the necessary chats. She was a good sport but I could see the competiveness shining through. She said to me, "Mom, I'm so sick of loosing, we've just got to win this time!" The final game was worth every tear...pure joy!! Way to go Boo!!!

Trent and Cec got to go spend some QT together tonight. They were celebrating their 2nd Year Anniversary. It's been two years since Trent adopted Cec. Ceciley gets to pick where they go and what they'll do on their date. So off they went in the Mog to Cooney's for dinner and her favorite cookie-dough custard. After some yummy grub Ceciley wanted to go to the Pet Store and visit the fish, birds, cats and puppy's. This is such Boo thing to want to do. She is our "animal LOVER." What a lucky gal!!
A little boost is always needed when riding in the mog....

Last night we went to Ceciley's 1st grade play, "Shipwrecked." Their class has been studying Christopher Columbus and also just finished reading the popular Junie B. Jones book: "Shipwrecked." It was such a treat to see all these adorable kids. Ceciley's part was the introduction/narrator. She did such a great job!! My favorite part had to be her flamboyant curtsy at the end!!! She pretty much flashed to whole audience!! She had told me before the play that she didn't want to bow but instead do a curtsy. She even had practiced and showed it to me before we left--what a doll!!

Family Night at Chuckie Cheese...

So Christian and Ceciley worked for two months to get to go to Chuckie Cheese!! I'm soo proud of both of them. We were having issue's with having nice hands..I know sound a little "cheesy"--ha ha get it?! No seriously...I couldn't stand the pinching, and sometime's even hitting. Time out's weren't working and neither was anything else. So with a lot of prayful thought I decided to try to have the kids focus on using their hands for service and being kind. Even though this was more for Bubba, Cec got real excited and also had some great experiences doing service. So from the bottom of our frigde to the top was a path of sticker hands that lead to Chuckie Cheese. Oh my wordy it worked!!! For the 1/2 way mark the kids earned a trip to Cold Stone---yummer's! Way to go kiddie's!!! We love you!!

This just shows how much fun Bubba had. This was right before it was time to pack up and go home! He wrapped himself around Trent's leg and plopped himself down---he was not going anywhere. In fact he would of liked to just spend the night! That look on his face tells it all!

I can't believe how fast my babies are growing up!! I love it and hate it at the same time. It's a wierd feeling. Christian's is talking soo much and I LOVE it!! I think he's half Spanish...I say this because the kid can roll/trill his "R's" like no other!! It's soo cute!! He's also real good and mixing up his sounds! Lately he's been calling Briton "Mr.Marshmellow Man"--cause he's soft, white and squishy like one---but it's more like "Farshfellow"!!
Briton's latest name beside's Farshfellow is "Potgut!" Trent and I got laughing so hard because he looks exactly like a chubby little potgut sticking his head out a of hole!! O.K.--so way cuter of course! But he lye's on his tummy and pops his head out of his blankets with these huge eye's!! So cute!!!

So we're working on the whole potty training mess(LITERALLY)--and boy is it a joy. But I did discover a little jem this go round. The potty watch is an alarm watch you can set for 30 min., 60 min., or 90 min., to help these busy-forgetful two year olds to visit the ol' john!! Best 10 buckaroo's I've spent--my favorite feature is that it will re-set itself after it plays it's little "Tinkle Tinkle" song!!

Here is our little dancer!! Boo danced to "It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Chrismas" and "Angel" at the Festival of Tree's and did such great job!! Ceciley loves the stage and the spotlight!! Our New Welcomed Addition...

He's finally here and he's so worth the wait!! Briton Clark Beesley arrived 1 week ago!!! He's absolutely perfect, and absolutley adorable!!! He was 7 lbs even and 19 inches long. He was named after his Bompa...Terry Clark Harward. What a cutie--almost a carbon copy of his daddy--big dark eye's & a cute dimple in his chin! We love you Briton and are so glad to be adding to our blessed family!!
Thank you...to everyone for all the visits in the hospital, chocolates, darling outfits, blankets, the beautiful flowers, help with the other kiddlings and of course your excitement and love!

What a fun weekend!! We went out to dinner and then off to the last Owls Game with the kids, and Nick and Zinzee (Bubba talk for Lyndsey)!! Even though they lost, it was soo much fun!! The kids loved it--Christian however didn't quite make it all the way for the firework show!!

What is it with getting picture's taken and kids?? O.k. so I must say Cec looked darling when I sent her off to school--but after a few games of tag, monkey-bars and lunch who knows what the picture's will turn out like. We'll see. And then I take Christian to the school to get his and he completely freezes and won't even budge with smile or two--in fact he just glares at the photographer. They really should of had me on camera--pretty much 9 months prego--jumping around-- playing peek-a-boo and using the tickle monster to try and get a smile!! The photographers ended up joining their efforts together--I had all three working on Bubba, they even broke out the Lego fruit snacks--not to mention my sucker bribe!! Finally he barely cracked a smile!! Oh the joys!! O.K. so here are picture's I took--happy, hair lookn' good and of course smiling. But the fun part will be comparing mine with the pro's--after all was said and DONE!!!!

Daddy's Princess...

This will always be a day to remember...Ceciley got to attend her first princess ball!! Trent was sweet enough to be her date and take her to this very fancy event!! Trent and Ceciley dressed in their finest and then off to the castle they went. Here are some pics of the magical day!

Ceciley was in heaven--every little girl's dream come true!!! She got to ride in a carriage, try on the REAL glass slipper (they even made sure it fit every princess that attended--so they all knew they were truely the real deal), dance with a prince, explore a troll's cave, try out a throne, meet Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, rescue Repunzell, help the prince wake up Sleeping Beauty (Trent said that Boo's eye's were huge and she had the cutest grin on her face, and blushed a little when he kissed her!). These were just a few highlights!!

If you're interested I would highly recommend taking your little princess!! All the ticket donations go to charity and it all benefits a great cause. In particular, money will be spent to improve the quality of life in a small Kenyan village in Africa, funding a public health medical team, $1,000 worth of books, a truckload of toys, sewing machines and other needed supplies. Ceciley was so excited to go back to school and become a BIG 1st Grader!! She is growing up so fast!!
I asked Ceciley what she was most excited for and these were her answers:
1. Seeing and playing with all my friends
2. Eating lunch at school and using her new purple lunch pack
3. Earning Pirate Coins and buying fun things from the Pirate Store!

Mom is excited for her but will miss her being gone ALL day!! Christian will also miss his buddy--she is such a great friend!! We love you Boo...good luck!!

Our little girl, is not so little anymore!! Ceciley turned 6 years old this last week!!! We celebrated under the sea as mermaids!! Ceciley picked out her theme for the big day and it really was a lot of fun!! We played water games, toss the jelly-fish balloons, had a sea-shell search (a.k.a. treasure hunt), fish pond, made mermaid crowns and had some very fancy face painting!! Ceciley enjoyed her day with lots of family and friends! We kept on partying all the way to Kangaroo Zoo with the cousins and Brick Oven with the Beesley's. Here are a few cute shots of the fun!!

Cec was lucky enough to have talented artists to make the face painting soo cute! Unkie Adam, Unkie Nick and Auntie Ann were so helpful and made the party a hit!!

So I've decided that Christian is the best mess maker in town!! He is so fast and curious that I can hardly keep up!! So today I moved both bar stools away from the bar and went to use the lady's room. Honestly, I was not even a minute. Well I came back in the kitchen and Christian had moved the stool back into the kitchen, climbed on top of the bar and dumped sugar and cereal EVERYWHERE!!!! He then proceded to lick the counter and enjoy his accomplishment!! He had the biggest grin when I walked in!! I of course grabbed my camera, got a few shots and then dove in to clean yet another mess!! His long eye-lashes had sugar-clumps stuck to them...he even managed to get it in his ears!! What's a mom to do??? What is the worst toddler mess you've cleaned up??

After a day of pampering and getting gorgeous we all headed off to dinner and to Kingsbury Hall for "ANNIE". The youngins' almost couldn't contain themselves!! The show was a hit!! Ceciley decided to make it a sing-along--she loves the music, but really who doesn't? Thank goodness for tolerant people sitting in front of us
(Michelle King--was right in front of us and turned around and told Ceciley what a beautiful voice she had! She was soo nice!! I think she got a kick out of her vibrato and that she was singing right in her husbands ear!!!).
So after the show we headed back stage to see the sets, meet the cast, get autographs and take pictures!! This was Ceciley's favorite part of the show!!! She loved seeing Annie, Sandy and the orphans up close!!
"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!!"--that just about sums up the night!!! It was a blast!! Thanks Nana, it was a girls night out to definately remember!!

Getting Ready For The BIG Night...

Wow, what a day!!! Getting pampered is SOOO much fun!!! What girl wouldn't just LOVE a day to primp before a night on the town!! Well the girls got just that!!! Aunt Lindsey is amazing at manicures and pedicures, not to mention facials etc.--so if you ever need a relaxing, yet gorgeous boost she is the one. She works at Amara Day Spa, and is soo talented!! Anyway...it was all about glitter nails---a little gold, hot pink and shimmery white!!! The girls also got pedicures and took a trip to the salon for some "up-do's!" All three girls were so excited and giggly!!

Watching out the window for her date!

So the daddy-daughter date was a hit!!! Trent and Ceciley were celebrating their first year anniversary!!! It's been exactly one year since Trent adopted Ceciley--wow how time fly's!! Every year on this special day, Trent will take her out with just the two of them. It'll be something both of them will look forward to!! So before the night even started Boo was sooo excited!! I asked her what she wanted to wear and she told me, "any dress that is long and flowing to the ground!!" She also wanted her hair done up like a princess. So I started to get my creative juices flowing (moms get real good at this--don't we?!) and this is what we came up with!! It was the best I could do!!
When Trent got home he had just barely come through the front door and Ceciley eye'd him up and down and told him he needed to get "a lot more FANCY" then he was--the jeans just wouldn't do!!! She told him he needed to look "a little like churchy." Some of her comments totally crack me up!! Trent grinned and told Cec to come pick him out an outfit. She of couse picked out his pink shirt and tie that had pink in it!! Turns out, they matched quite well!!
So the nights events went something like this: lots of yummy popcorn shrimp, first time touching a live lobster, delicious Shirley Temple's, hugs and "I love you's", chocolate cake with a pink candle, a trip to the movie theater, laughs, memories and boxes of candy!! The date was a hit!! It was SOO much fun that it wiped her right out-- Cec crashed in the back seat on the way home!!

One Year Anniversary...

--Trent and Cec outside the Court House April 9th 2007. We cried all kinds of "happy tears" as Cec likes to put it. A day we'll never forget!

It has been one year since Trent was able to adopt Ceciley!! Wow I can't hardly believe it. When I think back one year to this day I can't help but get emotional. Trent is such a blessing in our lives!! He is the best daddy ever! He loves Ceciley soo much. So today we are celebrating their one year anniversary! Each year Trent will take Ceciley on a "daddy-daughter" date for their special day. Trent asked Ceciley to come up with the plans for the date. It was sooo cute to see her coming up with idea's. "I know...dad we can go swimming, then to dinner at Red Lobster (she loves the popcorn shrimp!), then to a movie, then...... and on and on!!!" She loves spending time with her dad, especially one on one!!

Family Getaway...

Wow, what an awesome weekend!! We went with my family to the Homestead in Midway. It was so nice to spend time with everyone!! Lot's of time to really get closer to each other, swimming with the cousins, and party time for dad...Happy 60th with a yummy dinner at the Zermatt! Family is everything!! It was also refreshing for Trent and I--this is where our first date was!!! Oh so many memories!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Easter Sunday...

What a great day! It started off wonderful because Trent actually got to sleep in...no early meetings!! So we made Swedish Pancakes and enjoyed this rare occasion of Trent being home with us. After church we went and visited with my parents and then headed over to Beesley's for dinner. One tradition that we (the gals) always look forward to is being treated to a cute new Easter dress from Papa John. It's so much fun to see what everyone picks out and of course who doesn't love something new for a great occasion!! Thank you Dad!!! Here are some pics in our new fancy's!

Easter Weekend...

What a fun weekend!! We started our weekend off with the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Andrew and Lucy's. Andrew and Lucy have the perfect spot for this hunt...right in their yard and farm!!! There is soo much room to spread out and hunt for the yummy filled eggs! However the golden egg is always the hit of the morning. It is a big, golden egg filled with much more than goodies, usually lots of mula!!! But it's always soo much fun, because there is only one!!

Christian's favorite part of the hunt was sitting on the tractor pretending to drive it..."vroom, vroom!"

O.k. so Christian can't get enough of the uni-mog....he LOVES it!!! Yesterday he got to go for a ride with Trent and everytime Trent would ask him if he was ready to go home he would glare and shake his head "no" back and forth very determined! So this morning of course all we heard ALL morning was, "da-da, vroom vroom" over and over until finally off they went for a ride!! Christian not only got to go for a ride but to work with Trent for a while!! I love watching them, they are such good buddies!! Trent was wondering how much work he would get done with bubba just wanting to play and go for rides...oh well these are the important things of life and hey it's Friday!!!

Special Package for Boo...

Ceciley got a package in the mail from Nana and boy was she excited! She opened it and discovered an invitation for a girl's night out to the broadway show "ANNIE" at the Capitol Theater in SLC!!! In the special package there was also cute "T" shirt to wear and get autographed! The night of fun will include: dressing up oh so pretty, a yummy dinner outing, the fantastic company of ONLY girls...EVERY GAL in our family is invited, pure enjoyment of fabulous acting and singing, and we even get to meet Annie and Sandy after the show!!! Wow Nana...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...the package was the highlight of the week and we can hardly wait till April!!!! We love you and your constant thoughtfulness and fun you bring to the family!!!

The day before our trip to the Doc's to get a new PURPLE cast!

I can't believe Cec has already had her cast for 3 weeks! At first I thought life would be hard because we would have to stop everything! For about the first few days we were so careful and maybe a little too cautious. I soon realized that this energetic little girl was NOT slowing down. Cec stuck with dance, piano and has even ventured out on her scooter! Yes...we have our limitations but not soo many to make us ALL miserable! She has adjusted SOO well! Her handwriting is now just as good with her left hand as it was with her right! Way to go Boo!

What a Weekend...

So our weekend started off absolutely wonderful! Trent showed up with tulips and a love note and off we went for a fun Friday date night. Saturday the bliss seemed to wear off when Ceciley and Christian decided to play a game of tag on the couch in the basement. Remember the good ol' classic song "Five Little Monkey's Jumping On the Bed"--well that is exactly what happened with my monkey's. Yes, mama ended up calling the Doctor but it wasn't for a broken head, instead one broken arm. And not only one broken arm...but broken in two spots--both bones in Ceciley's right arm above her wrist had snapped. Here is a picture of our sweet angel! She was very upset about it as you can see. She was excited to get a cast at first but very disappointed to find out it wasn't rainbow colored covered with flowers and butterfly's. Her words went something like this... Did you know that every thing you do does not have to be a teaching
experience or accomplishment something? Can't you hear your momma's
voice saying make every second count? Well I am getting sick to my
stomach just thinking about this.

Well we don't have to make every minute of every day be productive.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! Do you want to know want it does to Jill?? It makes her a martyred angry shell of a woman that no one can stand to be around.

It is our perfectionism that won't allow us the rest when we need to. It won't allow us to sit down with our babies to really play and not be developing curriculum in our heads: not every moment has to be a teaching moment. It also releases the guilt monster to eat away at the very soul of our being. It is OK to do nothing sometimes.

Why can't we play?? I'll tell you why!! It is because we have been
told all our lives that a woman's work is never done! If we wait till all our work is done to play then we are going to be dead; our
children will be grown and our marriage will be lost.
As children we were not allowed to go out and play until we had done some chore. We eventually finished that chore and we were allowed to go outside. Now isn't that an interesting concept. We finish something and then we get to play. One member did this with her 4 year old son the other day. Every other 10 minute segment; she would play with him and then she would do what she needed to do for 10 minutes. This went on for 2 hours. She said that she accomplished more in those two hours than she had in days. Imagine that. Playing helped her to do more. Now doesn't that just knock you over with a feather!

I want you to take time to play today! Don't get caught up in the
preparations and forget to enjoy yourself. Even if you do nothing but sit and watch the children play and learn from their example. Put your feet up and rest a spell as my granny says.

It takes practice to enjoy the art of doing nothing. It seems so
strange at first. Try it! You may find that it is just the
prescription you need for that martyred perfectionist complex you
have.

What Makes This Monkey Happy...

Could Hot Sauce, Hot Chili Peppers or Jalapenos be bad for a 1 1/2 year old??? I ask this because Bubba LOVES anything spicy or hot!! I often wonder if it was the Indian food, Trent's spicy Tomato Soup, and any heat that I craved when I was pregnant with him. Or is it the fact that he is ALL Beesley in that area? So now the question of the day...is it bad for him? Will it burn his tiny taste buds? I really would like to know what everyone thinks. Trent loves it and just laughs when he climbs up on his lap to get a bite of his El Pato Hot Chili Peppers, or when he takes you to the fridge and points to Cayenne Pepper Sauce so he can have some with his Mac and Cheese!!! Hum...??? What do you think???

O.k. so today I taught in Relief Society and I know this sounds crazy but I actually enjoyed it!! O.K. I will clarify---it was so refreshing to study about our Heavenly Father and His love for us. It was a very simple lesson but so powerful. I love being reminded of this and reflecting on His tender mercies! To make my Sunday even better...Christian went to nursery for the first time. He did so good---isn't it funny what makes a mom proud!! However he did start his sweet but very loud cry when they sang the daddy part on the song, "The Wheels On The Bus." Luckily Trent had it covered so I could teach!

Christmas Fun in Idaho....

This was one of the funnest Christmas trips ever!! We went to Idaho and stayed at Tony and Marci's the week before Christmas!! We had the ENTIRE family there and it was sooo nice!!! Our week was filled with so much excitement. The Christmas fun included: Decorating Gingerbread Houses, Delivering a secret Christmas box, Alvin and the Chipmunks, matching Christmas PJ's for all SIXTEEN of us (we couldn't help but walk the runway after--literally...music and all!), Christmas shopping, fondue, snowmoble runs, sledding, racing go-carts, gift exchange and of course skiing at Grand Targhee!!! It was Ceciley's 1st time skiing and she did soo great. Her favorite saying was, "BIG PIZZA not so much the French Fries"(in other words she was most comfortable doing the "wedge" as we called it growing up! French Fries went a little too fast for her taste!) The best part about the week was that the family was all together---soo many memories were made that week!! Thanks Ton and Marci....you made Christmas 2007 one we'll not forget!!!

Wow what a snow storm! It reminded Trent and I of growing up...didn't we always get good storms?! Christian and Cec had so much fun playing in the snow! This was Christian's first time in the snow-and he LOVED it well until he fell over, face down! We had him so bundled up--he could hardly move!

Um..um..good and proud as punch!!

If you need a DELISH Sugar Cookie Reciepe use this one--very famous indeed!! Thanks Deanna!

1 cup sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
6 cups flour*
*You may need more, just test it.
Mix sour cream and baking soda together in a small bowl, set aside
Cream butter and sugar together, add eggs and mix
Add vanilla to mixture, mix
Add sour cream mixture to mixer, mix until blended
Mix baking powder, salt, and flour in a separate bowl
Add flour mixture to mixer, kneading until it is a soft dough.
Put dough on floured counter, flatten by hand and make cookie shapes.
Put on cookie sheet and cook first batch for 11 minutes at 350. Bake the rest of the batches for 10 minutes. Do not overcook!
** Add Almond Flavoring to Frosting!

Thanksgiving Point's First Feast

We enjoyed the First Feast at Thanksgiving Point this year--what an experience!! The menu, costumes, and actors were exactly as if you'd stepped back in time and ate with the Pilgrams and Indians. We tried all kinds of new foods--some were great and some were not so great! Ceciley was the only one brave enough to try the warm goat's milk!! She even liked it!!?? They also had activities for the kids to do--Ceciley's favorite was making the corn-husk dolls and feeding the billy goat corn! This made for a wonderful, educational and fun FHE!!

O.k. it's about time I get on track!! So... Thanksgiving was wonderful--we spent it with the Beesley family and as you can see dinner was delicious and family time was a must--so nice...we sat around and visited, watched the "Grinch" and "Santa Clause II." We had a few surprise guests show up as well...a sweet little pilgram girl and an Indian Chief who supervised dinner! My mom helped me make Ceciley's costume...she was sooo excited to dress up---what 5 yr. old doesn't like dress ups??!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

If you took my survey and you didn't have a clue as what a "Unimog" was...well here it is!! As BIG as ever! As soon as the boys arrived home with their new toy (really it is kind of like a Monster Tonka Truck) everyone piled in for a ride. Ceciley loved it and wanted Trent to take her to school in it the next day, Christian kept saying Vroom, Vroom and well as for me... I'm still not sure! But we are excited to take it to Moab and to the Cabin!!
